Florida Hospital Altamonte currently cares for over 160,000 patients a year.

As more people move to the County, the need for healthcare services continues to rise. To meet the needs of the growing community, Florida Hospital Altamonte is undergoing a major expansion project that will add another 220,000 square feet to the existing hospital.

The project scope includes:

• 6 Story Patient Tower
• 83 Inpatient Beds (72 PCU / 11 ICU)
• 2 Shelled Floors for future growth
• New 37-bed Emergency Department - NOW OPEN
• Consolidation of Cardiology Services
• Chatlos Conference Center
• Five New Elevators
• New Lobby with Healing Garden & Spiritual Center
• Improved Wayfinding/Site Circulation

Emergency Department Opened October 2006.
Patient Tower Scheduled Completion Date: Fall 2007
