Named Seminole County's first accredited Chest Pain Center, Florida Hospital Altamonte is a part of a nationally-recognized cardiac center with the only accredited Chest Pain Center in Seminole County. The hospital-home to the Joint Commission of Accredited Healthcare Organization's (JCAHO) only accredited brain attack/stroke center in Seminole County-offers comprehensive services including cardiology, oncology, maternity, an orthopaedic institute, digestive health services, state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging including 4D ultrasound, a dedicated outpatient surgery center, and the area's only comprehensive Cancer Institute.

Each year, Florida Hospital Altamonte treats approximately 14,000 inpatients, 97,000 outpatients, 43,000 emergency patients, and performs over 10,000 surgical procedures-making it the largest and most comprehensive hospital in Seminole County. Keeping pace with the growing community, the 258-bed campus is also adding a 37-bed Emergency Department to open by Fall 2006 and a new 6-story patient tower to be completed by the end of 2007.
